Position Summary

Windows Server Systems Administrator for support of Sunstate Equipment servers both physical and virtual.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of domain/forest management structure and basic switching/routing concepts
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and work ethic
  • Experience working in a globally dispersed, team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Basic experience with the following Software:
  • Windows servers 2003,2008,2008R8 and Server 2012
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005,2008 and 2012
  • Microsoft Active Directory Services 2008R2 and 2012
  • SharePoint Server 2010, 2013 
  • SysAid or other Help Desk software
  • Moderate/Intermediate with the following Software:
    • Microsoft WSUS
    • Server virtualization focused on VMare products
    • Scripting knowledge and skills with Powershell and/or VBScript languages

      Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance and administration of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Active Directory Services infrastructure
  • Management of Microsoft server security configuration and patching
  • Provisioning and administration of user access credentials and folder permissions through Active Directory
  • Maintenance and administration of DHCP, DNS, IIS, FTP and other network services
  • Administration of server hardware, software inventories and documentation
  • Monitor and work customer support tickets and requests
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve daily backup process failures
  • Respond to server resource monitoring alerts
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
